PACS HQ v6 Upgrade Training

This 3-day program is intended to train and certify qualified persons as the Clinical Applications Trainer for PACS products. It is intended for both PACS Administrators and PACS Visualization Coordinator(s) who interact more closely with Radiologists and clinicians on a daily basis.

PACS Visualization Coordinator(s) should complete this course no more than 30-45 days PRIOR to your V6 Upgrade Go Live date. This “train-the-Trainer” program will be held on a monthly basis at Merge Training Headquarters in Daytona Beach, Florida.

Course Outline
The 3-day HQ V6 Upgrade Training course covers the following topics:
  • Version 6 New Features and Functionality
  • Radiologist Training Methodology --- How to Effectively Train Radiologists to use PACS V6
  • Radiology Workflow
  • Users and Groups
  • The HALO Viewer – tools, menus, etc.
  • Patient Record – Loading Comparison Studies
  • Multi-dimensional statuses & Display Blocks
  • QC Tools
  • New Action Icons
  • Site Preferences
  • User Preferences
  • Body Part Mapping Rules and Relevant Priors
  • Building & Managing Hanging Protocols

Delivery
This course utilizes a combination of lecture and hands-on exercises to present the course materials. The majority of the coursework is conducted in a physical classroom environment with each attendee working at individual workstations.

Audience
  • Super User(s) responsible for training Radiologists, Clinicians, and Referring Physicians to use the PACS V6 application
  • PACS Administrators working closely with Radiologists, Clinicians, and Referring Physicians
  • Visualization Coordinator(s) responsible for daily workflow, PACS Quality Control, or Radiologist and/or Clinician training

Timeline: Attendance should be no more than 30 – 45 days PRIOR to your V6 Upgrade Go Live date
