What is the Authentic eFilm Program?

It allows our valued customers to ensure that the software licenses being used are legal and up to date to help ensure quality patient care. Users of eFilm who are not currently customers and are not in compliance are provided sufficient time to get their licensing up to date without penalty. Charitable organizations can be offered additional consideration.

Software piracy in healthcare can be serious because it has the potential to impact the health and well-being of patients. eFilm Workstation is a FDA Class II Medical Device and is tested to work within specified environments with the latest updates from Merge. Those who have obtained the software illegally, are likely not going to receive necessary updates to the software if they have received the software from unapproved sources.
